ChallengeMe: How the first large-scale challenge went step-by-step
ChallengeME

Introduction
In February, we ran our first large-scale challenge — 7000 steps a day, 5 days in a row. But it wasn’t just a pedometer marathon. We turned the routine into a game of chance with real prizes, a Wheel of Fortune and a personal AI-trainer.
Rules and mechanics of the Challenge
The conditions were as clear as possible: participants had to walk at least 7,000 steps every day for five consecutive days. For each successful day, participants received points, which were then converted into chances to win the final draw. Additional points could be earned by inviting friends to participate.
Registration was free and steps were tracked through popular fitness apps and devices.
The results exceeded expectations
Participants have walked 1,500,000 steps together! This is not just a number — it is a powerful message that shared motivation and support can work wonders.
We especially want to recognise one participant who walked 170,000 steps in 5 days! This incredible achievement shows how determination and community support can inspire new records. His energy and perseverance serve as an example for all of us!
Delving into the stories of the participants reveals the real sources of their strength:
The fire of team spirit: the ChallengeMe chat room was full of energy! When one participant shared their new record, others were instantly energised by their enthusiasm.
Challenge Adrenaline: ‘I never thought I could walk 25,000 steps in a day until I saw the results of the others! — admitted one of the participants. Healthy competition helped many to push their limits.
A burst of renewed energy: Many noted that their overall health improved. Walking not only boosts health, but also lifts your mood and fills you with energy.
An unexpected result was the formation of an active community of participants. In a common chat room, people shared their routes, photos from walks, and discussed strategies for achieving their goals.
Wheel of Fortune: a fair system for determining winners
The main feature of the Challenge was the Wheel of Fortune — a drawing system that took into account the real achievements of the participants. Unlike ordinary drawings, where everyone has equal chances, here the probability of winning depended on the number of points earned.
How we determined the winners using Wheel of Fortune:
1. Adding up the points: We added up the points of all the participants to get the total number of points.
2. Random Number Generation: A random number R between 0 and totalPoints was generated.
3. Range Assignment: Each contestant received a unique range, the width of which depended on the number of points they scored. The more points, the more chances!
4. Winner selection: The winner was the contestant whose range included a random number R
Each point was turned into a chance to win, and the more days a participant successfully fulfilled the goal, the more points he got. The system was completely transparent: participants could see their rating, the number of points of other players and even the source code of the drawing algorithm.
The draw itself took place live, where everyone could watch the process.
AI mentor: personalised support for each participant
One of the technological innovations was an AI mentor in Telegram, which worked with each participant individually. The bot analysed daily activity and sent personalised messages depending on the player’s progress.
Imagine: evening, you’re at home, planning a holiday. Suddenly a message says:‘Today you are 1300 steps behind the leader. 15 minutes of walking now could change your ranking!’
This is exactly how the AI mentor in Telegram worked — not annoyingly, but at the right moment. It analysed the activity of each participant and selected personalised messages. The result? Participants were getting up off their couches and moving toward their goals.
I particularly liked how the bot analysed my results and gave personalised advice. It really helped improve my motivation!- testimonial from one of the participants.
The mentor also summarised the day, shared inspiring stories from other participants and gave tips on how to improve results. Many participants commented that it was these messages that helped them not to give up in difficult moments.
Determination of winners and awarding
The final draw took place one day after the end of the Challenge. The Wheel of Fortune determined four winners, each of whom received deserved prizes:
First place — $300. The winner not only fulfilled all the requirements of the Challenge, but also actively participated in the life of the community.
Second place — subscriptions to top AI services worth up to $100.
Third place — $50 USDT for the balance in the app. The winner received a prize in cryptocurrency, which emphasised ChallengeMe’s modern approach to awarding.
Special prize — a gift challenge in our app with a prize of $30. This prize was given to the participant who showed the most progress and activity in the chat.
But the main prize went to every participant — they proved to themselves that they are capable of more than they thought.
Conclusions
The first large-scale ChallengeMe step challenge was a real proof that motivation is enhanced in a team, and that achieving goals can be not only rewarding but also exciting.
But this is just the beginning. More Challenges, new goals and new victories are on the way. If you’ve ever put off making a change for later — now is the time to start.
