Spring Challenge for Teachers: How ChallengeMe Motivates Activism

Motivation

Introduction

ChallengeMe together with Intellectum Space launched a special project — a motivational challenge with teachers as the main characters. After a successful experience with teenagers, the team decided to turn to those who inspire others every day — teachers.

From idea to realisation

The choice of teachers as the target audience was not accidental. These people devote their lives to the development of others, often forgetting about their own health and activity. The five-day marathon was an opportunity to show that self-care is not a luxury, but a necessity.

The goal was simple: 10,000 steps every day for five days. But behind this simplicity was a well-thought-out motivation system that turned ordinary walking into an exciting adventure.

The results exceeded expectations

The participants didn’t just meet the target — they exceeded it by a wide margin. The average was between 12,000 and 16,000 steps per day, with the day’s record holder breaking 21,475 steps.

A key element of success was the integration of AI mentoring, which provided personalised support to each participant. Smart tips and constant feedback helped keep them motivated throughout the challenge.

Wheel of Fortune as a motivational tool

The main highlight of the project was the innovative ‘Wheel of Fortune’ — a mechanic that linked the number of steps travelled to the chances of winning prizes. This approach demonstrated several important principles of motivation:

Fairness of effort: the more a participant moved, the higher their chances of winning became. This created a direct link between the effort expended and the potential reward.

Healthy competition: knowing that colleagues were also striving to increase their chances, participants motivated each other to be more active. The competition remained friendly and inspiring.

A glimpse into the future

The completion of the Spring Challenge was not the end of the story. Teachers are already showing interest in the next challenge — QR-Hunter, which shows that the habit of activity has been successfully formed and the desire to continue developing.
